MGM Launches EPIX NOW Streaming Service for $5.99 a Month

EPIX, the premium TV channel owned by MGM, has launched EPIX NOW — a standalone OTT streaming service that will bring its original shows and blockbuster films to cord-cutters.

The service, which will cost $5.99 per month, includes new shows like Pennyworth, Godfather of Harlem, Our Lady, and Elvis Goes There. Subscribers will also get access to thousands of blockbuster movies from MGM like Baywatch, Downsizing, Jigsaw, and Annihilation. In addition to the newly released originals, the subscription comes with EPIX Originals like Get Shorty starring Ray Romano, Mark Burnett’s The Contender, Deep State, and contemporary spy series Berlin Station.

The service is available on Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, and Android — with Roku and Fire TV coming soon. Movies and episodes are available for offline viewing and the service includes 4K Ultra HD streaming on select devices (only Apple TV 4K for now). EPIX also includes live streaming of their four linear TV networks.

EPIX has tested the waters with streaming services in the past. EPIX is available as a $5 add-on to Sling TV, while EPIX Hits is available on PlayStation Vue’s Elite & Ultra plans. They also were one of Roku’s launch partners for their premium subscription service launched last month.
