Netflix has canceled one series and announced the fifth and final airdate for another.
The reality show “Next in Fashion” with “Queer Eye” fashion maven Tan France and Alexa Chung is history. It debuted January 29 with a simple premise: 18 global designers undertook various design challenges, competing for a sensational prize.
South Korean designer Minju Kim won the sole 10-episode season, netting the $250,000 award and the chance to debut her collection with Net-a-Porter.
“Next in Fashion” joins the one-season-only Netflix club, which also includes cancellations of “Astronomy Club,” “Messiah” and “Spinning Out.”

At the same time, the streamer announced the final five episodes of the successful Spanish drama “Cable Girls” streams July 3. Beginning in the 1920s, the story revolves around young women who get jobs at the first national telephone company in Madrid. The show revealed the restrictions on Spanish woman in a male-dominated society.
The final season is set seven months after season four concluded. Spain is ruled by a dictatorship and the tale of friendship goes deeper as they fight to determine their own fate.
The show stars starring Blanca Suárez, Nadia de Santiago, Ana Polvorosa, Ana Fernández, Denisse Peña, Concha Velasco, Yon González and Nico Romero.
