Netflix to Air Final ‘Fuller House’ Season on Dec. 6 Without Lori Loughlin

The fifth and final season of Netflix’s “Fuller House” will begin on Dec. 6, reports TVLine.

The show is an extension of the hit ABC sitcom “Full House,” which ran from 1987-1995. The original story line focused on a widowed dad, Danny Tanner, who raised his three young daughters with the help of two men: his best friend and his brother-in-law.

“Fuller House,” which launched in 2016, sustains the theme of extended family. It centers on DJ Tanner-Fuller, a vet and widowed mom of three sons. Now, her sister Stephanie and best friend live in the original Tanner home in San Francisco and raise the boys together.

Many of the original stars returned for the successful sequel, including Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber.

The final season will also include the men who made “Full House” so lovable: Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and John Stamos.

One noticeable cast absence is Lori Loughlin, who starred in the Netflix reboot. Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were indicted in the college-admissions cheating scandal in March. As a result of the charges, the Hallmark Channel severed ties with Loughlin.

However, co-star Barber, speaking about Loughlin on People Now on Monday, called her “one of the sweetest, kindest and most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met.”
