PlayStation Vue Updates DVR Interface on Apple TV, Makes it Easier to Find Recordings

PlayStation Vue updated its DVR user interface on Apple TV today and has made it easier to find new and upcoming recordings.

The platform added a My DVR category to the top menu with new sections—Continue Watching, New This Week, All Programs, Upcoming and Expiring. Previously, all content was only inline on the homescreen, making it a bit harder to find your recordings. The update also renamed the My DVR ribbon on the homescreen to All Programs.

So far, the update has only been found on Apple TV. Other devices that are compatible with PlayStation Vue are Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, Roku, iPhone/iPad, Web Browsers, Android Phone/Tablet, Android TV, and PlayStation.

PlayStation Vue has unlimited DVR storage, but only allows you to keep recordings for 28 days. In comparison, YouTube TV which also offers unlimited storage, keeps recordings for nine months. Fubo on the other hand, doesn’t have a time cap on saved recordings. However, it only allows for 30 hours of storage on the standard plan while the Family Bundle, which comes with their Cloud Plus DVR, allows you to record up to 500 Hours.
