If you are a hockey fan in Latin America, Star+ will be the new home of NHL games. Star+ subscribers will get all 1,400+ games and events – regular season, Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final, NHL All-Star Weekend, NHL Winter Classic, NHL Stadium Series matches and more. Just like the U.S. the service takes over for NHL.TV in Latin America, but it doesn’t face local blackouts like there are in the U.S.
Star+ launched on August 31 in Latin American countries and offer different streaming rights depending on your country. But, when it comes to the NHL, you will be able to access it in all Spanish-speaking South America and Brazil.
In Mexico and Central America, Star+ will provide coverage of NHL games and events throughout the season, but no specifics were shared just yet.
There are two plans for Latin American customers interested in Star+ — the “Standard” plan, which will cost $10.49 / month, or $104.99 / year ($8.75 / month), and the “Combo+” plan that offers Star+ and Disney+ for $13.99 / month. Both services will allow you to stream ad-free on 4 different devices and offer offline downloads.
What Can I Watch On Star+?
Think of Star+ as Hulu and ESPN in one. You’ll be able to watch a wide variety of movies and TV shows, including all Disney-owned content from ABC, Hulu, FX, and Freeform, as well as television and movies from Disney Television Studios, FX, 20th Century Studios, 20th Television, and more.
