Amazon announced today that Apple Music is now available on Fire TV devices. The follows the launch on Amazon Echo devices in December. New Apple Music subscribers can get a 3-Month Free Trial to access 50 million songs from all major record labels.
How to Enable Apple Music App:
Click here or open the Alexa App.
- Go to Skills & Games
- Search “Apple Music”
- Enable Skill and log-in with your Apple Music Account
After it’s enabled, you will be able to use your Fire TV or Echo Devices to ask “Alexa, play music by Drake on Apple Music” or “Alexa, play Today’s Hits on Apple Music.”
The announcement comes just week before Apple is expected to announced their TV and Movie streaming service which may be bundled with Apple Music. Unlike in the past, the company has been more aggressive with partnering with third-parties. They are expected to roll-out AirPlay 2 support on Roku devices, in addition to their already announced partnerships with Smart TV-makers like Samsung, VIZIO, and LG.
