About the USFL

After its original run from 1983-85, the United States Football League is returning to action in 2022. The season kicks off April 16. Teams will play a 10-game schedule. All 40 regular season games will take place in Birmingham, Alabama, either at Protective Stadium or Legion Field. The playoffs begin June 25 in the birthplace of football: Canton, Ohio.

Each USFL team will carry a 38-man active roster, plus a seven-man practice squad, and players will receive base compensation and be eligible for victory bonuses.
