DC Universe’s ‘Harley Quinn’ to Make TV Debut on Dec. 8

The first episode of DC Universe’s animated series “Harley Quinn” will makes its way on the small screen on Dec. 8. The episode is slated to air on TBS at 11 p.m. as a part of TBS’s “DCember” event, where the channel plans to broadcast DC-adapted movies in the evening hours all month long. The TV premiere comes a week after the show’s streaming launch on Nov. 29.

Harley Quinn’s TV debut marks the first time a DC Universe exclusive airs outside of the streaming service. The streaming service’s upcoming show “Stargirl” is also slated to debut on the CW next year. At the moment, no other information is known regarding the show, including whether or not future “Harley Quinn” episodes will also be aired on TBS or if the network plans to censor it in any way as it tends to be a raunchy comedy.

“Harley Quinn” features voices from “The Big Bang Theory’s” Kaley Cuoco as the title character, Alan Tudyk as the Joker and Lake Bell as Poison Ivy. The show follows Harley Quinn as she finally ends her long-term and tumultuous relationship with the Joker and purses her own criminal enterprise with Poison Ivy.

DC Universe is available for $7.99 a month and gives subscribers access to original programs, including “Doom Patrol” and “Titans,” animated series, vintage superhero television shows and feature films, as well as a digital archive of DC Comics published adventures that boasts 20,000-plus issues from the company’s eight decades of masked-man mythology.
