Disney Plus to Commemorate Star Wars Day With ‘Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian’ Docuseries

May the Fourth is fast approaching and what better way to celebrate the Star Wars Day than with new “Mandalorian” content. To celebrate this year’s Star Wars Day, Disney+ announced they will debut “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” a new docuseries chronicling the making of the hit show.

“Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” will see executive producer Jon Favreau sit down with the cast and crew “to share an unprecedented look at the making of the series, which quickly became a pop culture phenomenon after premiering in November.” In each of its eight episodes, viewers will get a look at various aspects that went into making the live action series via interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Favreau.

The docuseries will cover everything from the filmmaking process, the legacy of George Lucas’ “Star Wars,” the acting, groundbreaking technology and more.

“’Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian’ is an opportunity for fans of the show to take a look inside and get to see a different perspective, and perhaps a greater understanding, of how The Mandalorian came together and some of the incredibly talented contributors throughout Season 1,” said Favreau. “We had a great experience making the show and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.”

The premiere of “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” comes three days after “The Mandalorian” wraps its first season in Europe. The docuseries also coincides with the series finale of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” which wraps its seven-season run on May 4 as well.

Episodes of “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” will debut every Friday on Disney+.
