Endemol Shine Group Enters Into Partnership With Plex, Bringing Content to US, Canada and European Countries

The Endemol Shine Group announced today that they entered into a multi-territory content partnership with Plex. The deal brings Endemol Shine’s programming to Plex users in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.

“We are very pleased to launch another partnership, which demonstrates the enormous popularity of Endemol Shine’s catalogue,” said Kasia Jablonska, head of digital distribution and monetization, Endemol Shine Group. “Plex is a unique platform, combining more types of content in one solution than any other streaming service in the industry, including a media storage solution and an original media player experience with a vast media library. We are looking forward to working and growing our business together.”

Titles that will be made available on Plex include, “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” “Bananas in Pyjamas,” “City Homicide,” “Deal or No Deal,” “MasterChef,” “McLeod’s Daughters,” “Mr Bean” and “Peaky Blinders.” Title availability depends on region.

In April, Endemol Shine Group announced they were extending their partnership with Samsung TV Plus with the launch of two new channels in the U.S. — Sterling Drama and Deal or No Deal. The company also added another scripted drama channel, Der Serienkanal, in Germany. The debt of new channels followed the launch of three genre-based channels on Samsung’s TV Plus service in the UK last year in addition to channels launched across Europe, including France, Italy and Spain.

Plex has also been working to add to their platform. Earlier this month, the streaming platform added Crackle and its library of movies and TV shows. Plex users now have access to thousands more titles to stream, courtesy of the Sony Pictures Television and Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, Inc. app.
