Fox Nation to Host Super Bowl Events, Streaming Service Will Air First Ad During Game

The streaming service Fox Nation is gearing up for an eventful Super Bowl weekend. The service’s lifestyle and sports hosts Abby Hornacek and Kacie McDonnell will be in South Beach, Fla., at the Fox Nation zone, where there’ll be activation booths, giving fans an incredible Super Bowl experience.

The booths will feature some attractions, including rounds of corn hole and connect four; give attendees the opportunity to take pictures with Fox Nation hosts, including country star John Rich; as well as a contest to win an iPad and a free one-year subscription to Fox Nation. The booth will also have free Fox Nation merchandise for attendees, including mini footballs, sunglasses, hats and koozies.

Those who can’t make it to South Beach don’t need to feel left out. Hornacek and McDonnell will host the “VIP Fox Nation Super Tailgate” on Saturday, Feb. 1, and the event will be live streamed on Fox Nation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. E.T.

To wrap up the weekend, Fox Nation will also air their first national ad during the Super Bowl. The commercial, titled “Celebrating America,” will be 20 seconds long and aims to create an awareness campaign for the digital streaming platform.

“Fox News Channel and Fox Nation, both services of Fox News Media, serve very different needs for consumers,” Jason Klarman, Fox News Media executive vice president of marketing told The Wrap. “Fox News is their news and opinion destination, while Fox Nation is the place they go for lifestyle and entertainment programming. So the focus here is to directly address that difference in a fun way while showcasing the incredible content we offer on Nation.”

Super Bowl LIV takes place Sunday, Feb. 2, and sees the San Francisco 49ers face off against the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time at the Super Bowl. The game, which will air on Fox, is causing a lot of buzz among fans because it will be available in 4K Ultra HD and HDR for the first time ever. “UHD/HDR content will include the Fox NFL Kickoff Show, Fox NFL Super Bowl Pregame Show and Super Bowl LIV, including the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show,” Fox Sports stated.
