At today’s WarnerMedia Day, AT&T revealed that when their premium SVOD service HBO Max launches in May it will include over 40 years of DC Comics films including Batman, Superman, and the recent blockbuster “Joker.” Within the first year, the service will have the entire catalog of DC Comics films.
In addition to this, HBO Max will include 10,000 hours of programming at launch including the entire HBO service and library, a large offering of new original content, and a slate of acquired & library programming (Friends, Big Bang Theory, Sesame Street).
First announced by Warner Media in July, HBO Max details are finally breaking today at Warner Media Day. The streaming service will be launching in May 2020. They’ve also confirmed that AT&T and DirecTV subscribers will pay the same price for HBO Max as HBO.
When it launches, they will offer a bundle of AT&T TV and HBO Max, while in 2021 AT&T plans to launch an ad-supported version of HBO Max.
