Netflix Adds Nearly 2 Million U.S. Subscribers

Netflix announced yesterday that they added nearly 2 million subscribers to their domestic video streaming service. This exceeded expectations by nearly 500,000 subscribers.

They also added nearly 5.5 million subscribers internationally also beating expectations.

The 7.4 million new subscribers set a new record for the company and was up 50% from last year.

Given the growth occurred in combination with recent price hikes for the service, it prompted questions whether they could raise prices again.
