Thursday Night Football Returns to Fox, Amazon, & Twitch Tonight with Exclusive Commentary, Next Gen Stats, & 4K Streaming

While we’ve already had Week 2 and 3 saw the debut of Thursday Night Football for the season, those telecasts were exclusive to NFL Network. Tonight and through Week 15 of the NFL regular season, Thursday Night Football will be available across FOX, NFL Network, Amazon, and Twitch.

For those looking to watch the game on FOX, it will be available to streamin 4K for the first time. Those with fuboTV can stream it in 4K directly from their app, while those who subscribe to other Live TV Streaming Services like PlayStation Vue, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV can watch in 4K using the Fox Sports and Fox Now apps. All you have to do is log-in with your TV Everywhere credentials.

Before the game even starts, Amazon will debut a new pre-game show called NFL Next. Hosted by two-time Super Bowl Champion Chris Long, NFL Network’s Kay Adams and Next Gen Stats expert James Koh, the show will feature guests and analysis — with commentary from Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer.

Amazon will other additional streams of commentary besides just the main team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. For the second season in a row, fans can listen to Hannah Storm and Andrea Kramer, or the UK crew Derek Rae and Tommy Smyth. Those in the US and Mexico will also be able to choose the Fox Deportes Spanish-language broadcast.

Those streaming the game on Fire TV, iOS, or Android will also get access to an analytics enhanced telecast. By activating “Stats by X-Ray”, you’ll be able to see Next Gen Stats overlaid on top of the game. Some of those could be a running back’s average yards after contact or a wide receiver’s average yards on separation.

If you tune into the game on Twitch, you will be able to watch with commentary from popular Twitch streamers, in additional to live chats and trivia along the way. Every week will see a different set of streamers including AngryJoe and NateHill.
