Star+ is an entertainment and sports streaming service in Latin America. The service includes ESPN’s live sports streaming service and TV series and movies from Disney Television Studios, FX, 20th Century Studios, Star Original Productions, National Geographic Original Production.

How to Sign Up and Download Star+ on Google Chromecast

Star+ is available natively using Google Chromecast. Additionally, you may be able to stream to your Google Chromecast through Google Cast.

Star+ app on Google Chromecast

  1. Click here to sign up for Star+.
  2. Once you’ve signed up, go to the Home Screen on your Google Chromecast.
  3. Launch the app store and search for “Star+” on your Google Chromecast.
  4. Select “Download” to install the app.
  5. Once installed, log in using your Star+ credentials.
  6. You can now stream Star+ on Google Chromecast.

Google Cast

  1. Click here to sign up for Star+.
  2. Install the Star+ iPhone/iPad app or Android Phone/Tablet app.
  3. Once installed, log in using your Star+ credentials.
  4. Make sure your streaming device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android Phone/Tablet or iPhone/iPad.
  5. Start playing the content in the Star+ app and select the Google Cast icon.
  6. Choose your Google Chromecast and it will start displaying on your streaming device.

Up to 4 Devices

Star+ allows you to stream on up to 4 devices simultaneously.

No Ads

Ads will appear on live sports programs, but not for movies or TV shows watched on demand.

Offline Downloads

Star+ is one of the most generous streaming services for offline downloads. Star+ subscribers have access to unlimited downloads of shows and movies on the Star+ app to watch offline later, on up to 10 mobile or tablet devices.

There are no limits on the number of times a title can be downloaded annually. The number of downloads available at a given time is based on the storage space available on your device.

International Access

Depending on where you travel to, Star+ will behave differently. If you go to a country that has Star+, you will see the content catalog in that country. If you go to a country that doesn’t have Star+, you will only be able to access shows and movies you’ve already downloaded offline.


Originals

The service offers many originals, including “Y: The Last Man,” “Reservation Dogs,” and “Only Murders in the Building” with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gómez.

The service will also produce original content from the region, including “Santa Evita” (from Salma Hayek), “No Fue Mi Culpa,” “Los Protectores,” “Máscara Contra Caballero,” “Insânia,” and “El Encargado.”

TV Shows

Star+ offers a wide range of sports through ESPN, including NFL American football, MLS and Serie A football, NBA basketball, NHL hockey, Grand Slam tennis, PGA and The Masters golf, the Tour de France, and SportsCenter. Users will also see ESPN’s 30x30 documentaries.

Beyond sports, you’ll have access to shows like “This is Us,” “The Walking Dead,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Family Guy,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Futurama,” and the complete library of “The Simpsons.”

Movies

Movie fans will have plenty to watch on Star+. You’ll see blockbusters like “Deadpool,” “Logan,” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The service also includes award-winners like “Nomadland.”

Kids

While some animated content like “The Simpsons” may appeal to young viewers, the majority of content for children will be found on Disney+.
