Last month, DIRECTV NOW customers started noticing that two new channels, Boomerang and REVOLT, appearing in their channel guide, even if they subscribed to the lowest tier, Live a Little plan. Before then, Boomerang was only available for Even More customers ($85) and REVOLT for those on the Go Big ($75) plan.
The WarnerMedia-owned, Boomerang airs classic Warner Bros. cartoons. REVOLT, the network founded by Sean Combs, is a music-focused network focused on hip-hop entertainment.
Today they appear to be permanent additions to the Live A Little plan, in replacement of Nick Jr. which will be removed from the legacy plan on May 14th. The change comes just weeks after parent company AT&T and Viacom announced a new carriage deal that saw Viacom channels return to their new PLUS and MAX plans.
In a email to customers, DIRECTV NOW said: “Your Live a Little package will no longer include Nick Jr. as of 5/14/2019, but as a current customer, you have the option of keeping it. To hang on to Nick Jr., chat here.” When you chat into to customer service, they will add it back to your account for free. It appears they are trying to offload the channel for customers who don’t need it, but will let those who do keep it on the service.

We’ve added two new channels to your lineup at no extra charge. On Boomerang, you’ll find classic cartoons like Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry and more of your old school favorites. REVOLT, founded by Sean “Diddy” Combs, is living- and leading – Hip Hop culture through live performances, breaking new artists, original programming, live events and more.
