Disney+ Will Be Fully Integrated In Apple TV App, But No Mention of Apple TV Channels

Disney announced that a number of distribution partners for their upcoming streaming service Disney+, including Roku, Google, Sony, Microsoft, and Apple. For those with an Apple TV, the service will be fully integrated in their newly launched Apple TV App.

With Disney+ being integrated with the app, you will be able to search by Siri and launch shows directly from the App, and add shows and movies to your Up Next queue. While you will be able to subscribe via in-app purchase on iOS, they haven’t shared whether they will support Apple TV Channels — which would allow you to subscribe and watch inside the Apple TV App.

The app, which launched in May, includes a brand new design that curates collections of movies, TV shows, sports, and kids. The kids section include editorial to help pick shows and movies safe for kids — which will likely feature plenty of Disney content. While the Apple TV App has a number of supported partners like Hulu and Amazon Prime Video, one of the major streaming services missing is Netflix.
