fuboTV Releases Massive Update to Roku App With New Guide, Live TV on Startup, & Background Video

fuboTV, the Live TV Streaming Service, has released a major update to their Roku app. Visually the app has completely been redesigned, while keeping much the same aesthetic from their other platforms. To access the update, make sure you have the latest version on your Roku device.

For most users, the most noticeable change will be the enhanced grid guide. Similar to the update on Apple TV from last month, you can now see more details on the selected program as you scroll through the guide.

However on Roku, now when you tune into live TV, it will continue playing the background when you go back to the guide. Also, by default, your last played channel will now play when you relaunch the fuboTV app. Both of these can be turned off in settings on the app.

Overall, the app feels significantly snappier throughout. With the addition of background video and auto-play on startup, the fuboTV app now gets you to your content and keeps you with it faster than ever.
