CBS All Access has upped Julie McNamara as executive vice president, head of programming. Previously, she was executive vice president of original content for the streamer.
She will report to ViacomCBS Chief Digital Officer Marc DeBevoise and CBS Chief Creative Officer David Nevins.
The promotion means McNamara will be charged with overseeing program strategy, which includes acquiring original series, as well as securing content in-house.
Also on the hiring front, Jeff Grossman was named EVP, content strategy and operations for the streamer and CBS Entertainment Digital, a new role. He reports to McNamara and CBS Entertainment head Kelly Kahl. Rob Gelick was also promoted to the position of EVP-GM streaming services and Chief Product Officer.
In its Q4 2019 earnings report on Feb. 20, ViacomCBS said it plans to launch a broader streaming service, which will be an expansion of CBS All Access. It also noted its paid domestic subscribers for CBS All Access and Showtime OTT hit 11 million.
