‘Lost’, ‘Ally McBeal’, and ‘Private Practice’ Are Coming to IMDb TV in Disney Deal

Jason Gurwin

IMDB TV, the free streaming service by Amazon, has reached a deal with Disney to bring some favorites to the ad-supported service. The deal, which covers more than 20 shows, will see full series of show like “Lost,” “Desperate Housewives,” “My So-Called Life,” “Ally McBeal” and “Malcolm in the Middle.”

While they won’t all come right away, “Lie to Me”, “Revenge,” and “Private Practice” will join the service March 1st, while “Ally McBeal” will come to IMDB TV on April 1st. Coinciding with the 10-year anniversary of the Finale of “Lost”, all episodes of the series will be available to stream with ads on the service on May 1st.

Late last year, IMDb TV nabbed the streaming rights to “Chicago Fire” and “Friday Night Lights.” Last June, the service was renamed to IMDb TV (from IMDb Freedive) and saw an increase in content — with films and series from Warner Bros., Sony Pictures and MGM added to the platform. They later added even more content with deals from Paramount and Lionsgate.

IMDb TV is available on the IMDb website, or as part of the Prime Video app on Roku, Apple TV, iOS and Android. You can also access IMDb TV from the Your Apps & Channels row on Amazon Fire TV devices.
