New Apple TV 4K Reportedly on the Horizon, Ups Gaming Focus With Faster Chip

Apple fans take note: A new Apple TV 4K with an A12X chip is expected soon.

That’s according to Apple tipster Jon Prosser, who adds it will be available in 64GB and 128GB models, reports Cult of Mac. This is the sixth generation of Apple TV. The faster chip ups the gaming focus. The last iteration came in September 2017.

“Apple got no chill right now,” Prosser tweeted. He says no release date has been announced for the new Apple TV 4K. The chip first appeared in the 11-inch iPad Pro in 2018.

Prosser has a good track record on Apple leaks. He predicted the launch date of the iPhone SE and the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Cult of Mac noted that the reliable leaker also claimed new iMac and AirPod revamps are “ready to ship.”

With no live product events on the horizon, such updates will be utilized to sustain buyers’ interests.
