Showtime Looking to Bundle With Other Subscription-Based Streaming Services

Showtime is reportedly looking to bundle up with other streaming services. According to Reuters, the CBS-owned streaming service is in talks with Amazon, Roku and Apple and is trying to find ways to bundle up with other platforms.

Showtime is looking to partner up with two to three different services that offer a diverse catalog of content. While it’s unclear which services would be bundled with Showtime, CBS All Access, which is also owned by CBS, is most likely a top candidate. Currently, CBS offers a bundle price of $14.99/month for Showtime monthly subscribers who add the CBS All Access Limited Commercials plan and a $18.99/month bundle price for Showtime subscribers who add the CBS All Access Commercial Free plan.

Bundling services is currently a running trend among media companies and their streaming services. When Disney+ launches on Nov. 12, Disney is offering the service in a $12.99 bundle along with Hulu (ad-supported plan) and ESPN+. Apple also announced that students who already pay $4.99 for their Apple Music subscription are also getting Apple TV+, which costs the same, for free. At their media day last week, WarnerMedia also announced that HBO Max will be offered in a bundle with AT&T TV when it launches May 2020.
