AT&T TV NOW Drops Price of ‘PLUS’ Plan By $10, But Removes HBO

Jason Gurwin

In November, AT&T TV NOW raised the price of their PLUS and MAX plans by $15, to $65 and $80 respectively. Both plans include ~23 Top Cable Channels and HBO, while the more expensive MAX plan adds sports channels, your local RSN, and Cinemax.

Today, the company has changed up their plans once again. The less expensive PLUS plan has dropped by $10 to $55, but no longer includes HBO. The MAX plan remains at $80 — with HBO and Cinemax still included.

For those that do want to subscribe to AT&T TV NOW though, it is nice to have an option to get a base plan without HBO, which can still be added for $10. At $55, it is still as or more expensive than YouTube TV ($50), Hulu Live TV ($55), fuboTV ($55) — but doesn’t include as many top cable channels or any regional sports.

Even though AT&T TV NOW subscriber numbers have been plummeting for some time now, AT&T had not refrained from hiking their prices, despite customer dissatisfaction. Over the last two quarters, AT&T TV NOW has lost 414,000 subscribers, leaving them with less than a million subscribers. In comparison, Hulu Live TV now has 3.2 million subscribers, Sling TV has 2.6 million, while YouTube TV has surpassed 2 million.ce
