Disney Plus Reveals 2019 Blockbusters ‘Aladdin’ and ‘The Lion King’ Are Coming in January

The streaming service revealed 2019 blockbusters “Aladdin” and “The Lion King” will be making their way to the platform next year. “Aladdin,” which was helmed by Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott and Will Smith, will be available on Jan. 8, 2020, while “The Lion King,” which boasted a star-studded cast featuring James Earl Jones, Donald Glover and Beyoncé, will be available on Jan. 28.

Earlier today, the company announced they are also adding to their list of originals with “Diary of a Future President,” a 10-episode series that follows Elena, a Cuban-American 12-year-old girl as she navigates the ups and downs of middle school and begins her journey to become the future president of the United States.

“Aladdin” and “The Lion King” join other live action films available on Disney+, such as “The Lady and The Tramp,” “Honey I Shrunk the Kids,” “Mary Poppins,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,” “Remember the Titans” and many more.
