Philo Partners with WOW! to Bring Skinny Bundle to Broadband Customers
Philo, the entertainment-only skinny bundle, announced today that they have partnered with WOW!, a leading provider of internet, voice and video services, serving residential, business and wholesale customers in the Midwest and Southeast, including Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.
Starting in the middle of this year, WOW! will market and sell Philo’s service, priced at $20 per month, to WOW!’s broadband customers. “We are excited to partner with Philo to offer another exciting video option to WOW! customers,” said Roger Seiken, senior vice president of programming for WOW!.

Philo carries 58-channels including those from popular cable networks, including A&E, AMC, BBC America, Cheddar, Comedy Central, Discovery, Food Network, Hallmark, HGTV, Investigation Discovery, Lifetime, MTV, Nickelodeon, OWN, Tastemade, and many more.
Internet service providers have been looking for ways to offer video services to subscribers, in order to compete with cable and satellite services. Even cable providers, like Spectrum, have launched their own streaming services, in order to keep the customer relationship as they look for cheaper options for entertainment. In March, Comcast launched their Xfinity Flex device which includes 10,000 online movies and TV shows—including live streaming TV—from ESPN3, Xumo, Pluto, Tubi TV, Cheddar, YouTube — for $5 a month.
