Pluto TV Adds Its First Original Series After Acquiring Season 4 of ‘Bajillion Dollar Propertie$’
Pluto TV has joined the original content game with its acquisition of Paramount TV’s Bajillion Dollar Properties. The series was originally created for the NBC’s comedy streaming service, Seeso which shut down in 2017, after season four of the show had already been produced.
Now, Pluto TV has acquired the rights to all four seasons, and will begin rolling out the first three on a daily basis today, ahead of the season four premiere on August 5. Viewers can tune in to Pluto TV’s FUNNY AF (Ch. 423) to watch back-to-back episodes every evening at 7PM EST/PST. Episodes will be available on-demand, shortly thereafter.
The semi-scripted series was created by Kulap Vilaysack and follows seven agents in a cutthroat LA real estate firm. The show stars Dan Ahdoot, Tim Baltz, Ryan Gaul, Mandell Maughan, Tawny Newsome, Drew Tarver, and Paul F. Tompkins as agency owner Dean Rosedragon.
Since it was acquired by Viacom earlier this year, Pluto TV has been aggregating content for its platform. In April, the ad-supported streaming service service announced that they had acquired 200 classic Doctor Who episodes from BBC Studios for their U.S. streamers and added 14 linear channels with classic content from Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon in May.
