This is How to Watch Every 2019 MLS Game Live on Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Chromecast, iOS, and Android

The 2019 MLS season will kickoff this Saturday, March 2nd with all 24 teams in action this weekend including the expansion FC Cincinnati. This year brings new ways for cord-cutters to watch their favorite MLS team even if they don’t have cable.

With games this season on ESPN, FOX, FS1, Univision, UniMás, as well as streaming services like ESPN+, FloSports, and Twitter — we show you all the ways to stream MLS action online.

What You Need to Know for the 2019 MLS Season

  • ESPN+ now includes MLS LIVE for out-of-market telecasts of every team (and in-market for Chicago Fire games).
  • FloSports will stream local D.C. United games, replacing WJLA in D.C. Market.
  • Twitter will continue to simulcast games airing on Univision/UniMás.
  • YouTube TV will simulcast locally televised LAFC, Seattle Sounders, and Orlando City games.
  • Live Streaming Services have added hundreds of local affiliates so you can catch more nationally televised games on FOX and local telecasts on MyNetworkTV.

How to Watch Out-of-Market Games with MLS LIVE on ESPN+

Last season, ESPN+ ($4.99) included MLS LIVE as part of their OTT subscription. This means you will be able to stream every out-of-market game, and fans of the Chicago Fire can even watch telecasts of their local team.

The service also includes an original show following LAFC, as well as live international soccer including Serie A, FA Cup, UEFA Nations League, EFL Championship, EFL Carabao Cup, Eredevise and more. The service also includes a daily MLB/NHL game, as well as UFC, Boxing, and College Sports.

Considering that MLS LIVE used to cost $80 per season on its own, at $4.99 a month ($50 a year), this is an incredible option for MLS fans.

MLS Live on ESPN+

You’ll get out-of-market MLS games, plus Chicago Fire games in their local market.

How to Watch Nationally Televised MLS Games

Just like last season, many games will be nationally televised on ESPN, FOX, and FS1. There are six major streaming providers that offer Live TV Streaming.

These allow you to watch nationally televised games live using iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Chromecast, and Web.

How to Watch Locally Televised MLS Games

Depending on your market, local Major League Soccer (MLS) telecasts will air on a local affiliate, Regional Sports Network (RSN), or an online streaming partner. To watch your RSN online without cable, you will need a subscription to one of the major Live TV Streaming Services.

Most teams will have some of their games nationally televised, with the rest on a local TV partner. Our recommendation for which the best service to watch local telecast depends on the team. For instance, the New York Red Bulls televise their games on MSG which is available on Fubo, while FC Cincinnati airs their matches on WSTR which is only available on YouTube TV.

Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) + $29 - - -

Some MLS clubs have arrangements with streaming partners instead of RSNs to broadcast games not televised nationally. For instance, Orlando City, Seattle, and LAFC have agreements with YouTube TV, Chicago Fire with ESPN+, and D.C. United with FloSports.

Unfortunately, Colorado Rapids (Altitude), Houston Dynamo (KUBE), LA Galaxy (Spectrum SportsNet), Portland Timbers (ROOT Sports Northwest), and most Philadelphia Union (WPHL) games are not available to stream locally. If you have an antenna, you can pick up most Houston and Philadelphia games on your local MyNetworkTV affiliate.
