WarnerMedia Shuts Down FilmStruck, 3rd Streaming Service This Month

AT&T-owned WarnerMedia announced today that they are shutting down FilmStruck, their streaming service focused on arthouse, indie, and foreign films.

They were most well known for being the exclusive home of The Criterion Collection.

The service launched November 2016 and was managed by Turner Classic Movies. FilmStruck was available for $6.99 without The Criterion Collection or $10.99 with it.

It’s been a rough few weeks for WarnerMedia’s niche streaming sites. The company shutdown their DramaFever (Korean Dramas) and Super Deluxe (Digital Shows) earlier this month.

The restructuring is in response to rising content costs and consolidating content for their upcoming Netflix competitor.
