In a report in Axios, sources shared that Yahoo Finance is launching a 8-hour a day live financial news network.
Beginning in August, they will increase their live programming from 1.5 hours to 8 hours by the end of the year. The channel will include three shows — Market Movers, Midday Movers, and The Final Round.
While the channel will start streaming on Yahoo!, they are expected to try to expand both their linear distribution and partnerships with vMVPDs.
Their Market Movers show is already available on Verizon FIOS, so it would not be surprising to see the other shows appear as well.
The Oath company will compete with other streaming business networks from Cheddar and Bloomberg. Both CNBC and Fox Business also offer streaming options on vMVPDs.
