Squilla il telefono a casa Makimura. Risponde Akira: all’altro capo del telefono una voce spettrale lo invita ad un incontro. Akira si precipita nelle fogne di Tokyo, dove si imbatte in Jinmen, un demone simile ad una tartaruga che conserva i volti e le coscienze delle sue vittime incastonate nel suo guscio. La notte seguente la famiglia Makimura viene attaccata da Gelmer, il demone dell’acqua, e Agwell, un demone con la capacità di fondersi con le pareti: Akira dovrà vedersela con loro e, in seguito, con l’arpia Silen.
