This year’s Independence Day comes at a time where so much about the foundation of this country is being questioned and people are urging the government to rectify wrongs, both nationally and locally. With the coronavirus still at large, it’s safe to say celebrations this year will be different from years past. Though the country is attempting to open back up, progress is waning as cases continue to rise in certain states.

For those who are opting to stay indoors this weekend, we have compiled a list of movies to get your mind off things. While there’s a host of action, drama and thrillers out there, what better way to take the edge off than with some old-timey comedies.
