According to Business Insider sources, Amazon is preparing to launch its own TV brand as soon as October.

The Amazon-branded TVs will be equipped with Alexa, the company’s voice assistant. TCL is one of the third parties designing and manufacturing the TVs. The launch involves teams from Amazon Devices and Lab126. Development began nearly two years ago.

According to the sources, Amazon will offer a range of sizes, likely including 55”, 65” and 75” options. The company could also produce TVs in-house in the future.

In the past, Amazon has sold Insignia and Toshiba TVs equipped with Fire TV. However, this is Amazon’s first branded attempt to compete with companies that already offer smart TVs, including Samsung, Sony, LG, and VIZIO.

Amazon currently offers the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite, and Amazon Fire TV Cube, which you can connect to your TV. With these streaming devices, you can watch Live TV Streaming Services and On-Demand Streaming Services.

Last year, Amazon launched an AmazonBasics-branded TV in India, which sold for around $500 depending on the size. The India-based AmazonBasics TV model was manufactured by Radiant Appliances and Electronics.

Few details are available about the upcoming launch in the U.S., but more information should be released soon in anticipation of an October launch.
