ViacomCBS has expanded its streaming reach with the launch of CBSN Denver. This is the company’s seventh direct-to-consumer local streaming news service in a major market.
CBSN Denver will also live stream news from sister station KCNC, CBS 4 in Denver. Plus, it offers a library of local news content for on-demand viewing, in addition to breaking news coverage.
CBNS Pittsburgh is expected to debut later in February.
ViacomCBS, the former CBS, was the first major media company to launch a local OTT news service, with CBSN New York kicking off in December 2018. To date, the company has added CBSN Los Angeles, CBSN Boston, CBSN San Francisco Bay Area, CBSN Minnesota and CBSN Philly.
The company says five more local streaming services will debut, aligned with ViacomCBS’s local stations. They include Chicago, Miami, Sacramento, Dallas-Fort Worth and Baltimore.

Walt DeHaven, KCNC VP-GM, added that streaming news coverage was “a key driver of our future success.”
CBSN Denver is available via CBSN, CBSNews.com, CBSDenver.com, CBS Local and the CBS News mobile apps. The 24/7 CBSN launched in November 2014. All are live channels included in CBS All Access.
ViacomCBS also released its Q4 earnings report today — and took the opportunity to announce a new House of Brands streaming service that will expand CBS All Access. The media giant noted that Pluto TV continues to grow, now claiming 22 million monthly active users.
