Chicago Cubs’ Marquee Sports Network Finally Reaches Deal with Comcast
The Marquee Sports Network — the regional sports network to be operated by Sinclair Broadcast Group and the Chicago Cubs — announced has reached a deal with Comcast. The addition was part of a broader multi-year deal between Comcast and Sinclair for 18-Fox Sports RSNs, YES Network, Tennis Channel, and Sinclair local affiliates.
Comcast subscribers can watch Marquee Sports Network on Channel 202.
Though some games are reserved for national broadcasts, Marquee will be the exclusive local TV home this season, since the Cubs parted ways with NBC Sports Chicago. Cubs fans will have access to expanded pregame and postgame coverage, classic broadcasts from the archives and other programming on the network.
“By including Marquee in the broader Sinclair agreement, we’re now able to give our customers access to Cubs baseball in time for the start of the season,” said John Crowley, Senior Vice President, Comcast Cable Greater Chicago Region.
The Marquee Sports Network launched on Feb. 22.
For streamers, your best option to watch Marquee Sports Network without cable is on Hulu Live TV ($55), after a 7-Day Free Trial.
This means that fans from Chicago can watch the game on TV, mobile devices and computers without needing a cable subscription.
