First Impressions: Here’s What Users Are Saying About Disney Plus on Twitter

The long-awaited launch of Disney+ came with a splash. Mere hours after the streaming service went live, the site crashed, leaving users unable to sign up or stream any shows. Disney first announced the launch of Disney+ in November last year. The service is meant to be a direct competitor to Netflix, Amazon, Hulu as well as Apple TV+, HBO Max and Peacock.

The streaming service launched with 11 originals, which included the highly anticipated Star Wars series, “The Mandalorian,” the High School Musical spinoff, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” and the reboot a live-action reboot of “The Lady and The Tramp.”

While competitors Apple TV+ and Netflix have gone into the billions with their content budgets, (with Apple TV+ content receiving lukewarm reviews), Disney’s vast library seems to be their biggest advantage.

On Twitter, most users are raving about old shows they used to watch as kids. Classics such as “Lizzie McGuire,” “Boy Meets World,” “That’s So Raven” and many more launched with the app today.

With the app finally accessible after months of waiting, here is what some users have to say about Disney+ thus far.
