About McGregor vs. Cerrone Fight

Although Connor McGregor will be stepping into the ring as the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles at the same time, he still carries his UFC 229 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov on his shoulders. McGregor comes in a little green, since the last time he fought in the 170 pounds weight class was back in 2016 at UFC 202. He went home with the W after beating Nate Diaz by majority decision.

McGregor’s track record may not be the best, but Cerrone is by no means the predicted winner. He comes into Saturday’s match with a two-fight losing streak to Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje at lightweight. DAZN reports, “In his previous run at welterweight, Cerrone went 6-4 with all of the victories coming via stoppage.”
