Kris and Kendall Jenner to Executive Produce ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ Spinoff for Quibi

Quibi is adding more content to its roster, this time partnering up with Kris and Kendall Jenner. The reality TV stars will produce, “Kirby Jenner,” a spinoff to their widely popular show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

The series follows the life of Kirby Jenner — Kendall’s “fraternal twin brother” — as he steps into the public eye for the first time. It turns out Kirby Jenner is merely a parody Instagram account ran by someone with really good Photoshop skills and inserts himself into Jenner’s pictures. “I’m thrilled that Quibi viewers will get an inside look at the life of my twin brother and he’ll finally have the opportunity to shine in this series,” stated Kendall Jenner.

Quibi, which launches on April 6, 2020, was founded by DreamWorks founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and former eBay CEO Meg Whitman. The streaming service has been gleaning content for their platform. They currently have content lined up with ESPN, which will be the exclusive U.S. multi-sport content provider for Quibi’s curated news and information programming, Daily Essentials.

Last month, Quibi announced that Cara Delevingne will executive produce and host a new series being produced by ITV America’s Sirens Media. In each episode of the show, Delevingne, along with some female accomplices, will wreak havoc, executing a new stunt or practical joke, putting themselves in unwieldy and unpredictable situations in the process.

Quibi has lined up various stars for upcoming series, including Dave Franco who will star in the Farrelly Bros. comedy “The Now.” It has also partnered with The Dodo.

The company said it plans to spend $1.1 billion on commissioning original content in its first year, totaling 7,000 short-form episodes. Quibi will charge about $5 a month with ads and $8 without ads.
