Sling Raises Price of Sling Blue and Sling Orange to $30, Adds FOX News, MSNBC, HLN, BTN, FXM, FXX and Nat Geo Wild

As one of the only Live TV Streaming Services that hadn’t raised prices in 2019, Sling TV increased the price of their Sling Blue and Sling Orange plans to $30, just before the end of the year. This is the first time Sling has increased the price of Sling Blue and the first increase to Sling Orange since June 2018 (from $20 a month).

Sling Price Increases

  • Sling Orange: $30 (was $25)
  • Sling Blue: $30 (was $25)
  • Sling Orange + Blue: $45 (was $40)
  • 4 Extras Deal: $12 (was $10)
  • Total TV Deal (for Orange + Blue)*: $25 (was $20)
  • Sports Extra (for Orange + Blue)*: $15 (was $10)

*No price change for Sling Orange or Sling Blue customers

The company has also increased the price of the combined Sling Orange and Blue plan by $5 — which includes channels in both packages, to $45 a month. The news comes just as Sling has included a 10 Hour DVR for all customers.

The company has also raised the price of some of their Extra packs including their 4 Extra Deal, which has increased from $10 to $12 a month. Their Total TV Deal, which includes nearly all Sling’s Extra packs and their 50 Hour DVR, has increased to $25 for Sling Orange + Blue customers. It will remain the same if you just subscribe to just Orange or Blue.

Customers who subscribe to Sling Orange + Blue will now see the Sports Extra pack increase to $15 a month, but it will remain $10 if you subscribe to just one of the plans.

New Sling TV customers will see the new price starting today, December 23, while existing customers will see the change on their next bill after January 22.

Sling TV Channel Additions

For those with Sling Blue, while the service is still without Fox Regional Sports Networks, Sling has now added Fox News, MSNBC and HLN as part of the $30 plan. However, leaving the plan are FS2 (moved to Sling Blue Sports Extra), FXX (moved to Sling Blue Hollywood Extra), and Nat Geo Wild (moved to Sling Blue Heartland Extra). FOX Business Network can also be added to Sling Blue’s News Extra.

While Sling Orange isn’t getting any new channels — this fall they’ve added Longhorn Network and ACC Network to the service. Sling has also confirmed that Big Ten Network (BTN) will launch ahead of next season, but it will likely be part of Sling Blue or Sling Blue Sports Extra.
