Sling TV Updates Roku App to Highlight Trending Live Shows on Home Screen

Sling TV announced today a new ribbon on the Home Screen on their app for Roku devices called Trending Live. The row will highlight the most viewed live shows, sports, news, and movies that other Sling TV users are currently streaming. To access the feature, subscribers should switch to the My TV tab, which will then showing the trending live content on the default home screen.

While the feature is currently available on Roku devices, Sling TV expects to expand the feature to other devices like Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV in the future. The company has actively been improving their connected TV apps — earlier this year they launched a brand new interface on Apple TV with a better grid guide and show pages.

For new subscribers, they are currently running a promotion where you can get your first month for just $15 a month, meaning you can watch the NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Final, or Women’s World Cup at a discount.
