Watch This: The Best In Streaming This Week Including ‘The Morning Show’ and The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards
The highly-anticipated second-season debut of Apple TV+’s The Morning Show finally hits screens this week, and everyone will finally find out what has happened in the wake of the monumental on-air expose by Alex (Jennifer Anniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) of the sexual misconduct and toxic culture at UBA.
The other big event this week is the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards on CBS and Paramount+. This year, the number of streaming projects nominated completely dwarfed the number from earlier years, with the top two nominated shows being The Mandalorian from Disney+ and The Crown from Netflix, with the shows landing 24 each.
While those are at the top of the list, they, by far, are not the only great things streaming this week. Watch this:
C’mon Down!
Monday marks season 50, episode number 1 of The Price Is Right on CBS. Drew Carey has held down the helm since 2007 of what is considered one of the greatest television game shows of all. Floribama Shore is Back
MTV’s Floribama Shore returns for a fifth season on Thursday night. While the first season of the series stuck to Panama City Beach, Fla., in subsequent seasons, the show has hit the road, going to other parts of Florida, and eventually Arizona and even Montana. This season, the housemates are headed to Georgia for their usual round of partying, working, and living in their “new environment.”
Robert Langdon Comes To Television
Also on Thursday, Peacock premieres Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol, which serves as a prequel to the Da Vinci Code film series. The new TV series stars Ashley Zukerman as Robert Langdon. In the series, Langdon is hired by the CIA to solve a number of deadly puzzles when his mentor goes missing.
Peacock

Saying Goodbye to the Nine-Nine
The series finale of Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Thursday night on NBC. After more than 150 episodes, and homes on two networks, the police comedy finally comes to a close in the hour-long special “The End.” How it will leave the characters is yet to be seen.
The Inside Story of ‘The Greatest’
Ken Burns, known for his in-depth documentary takes on many subjects over the years, turns his learned eye on the life of Muhammad Ali. The fascinating story of the life of the man known to everyone, sports fans and otherwise, simply as “The Greatest,” is the subject of a four-night, eight-hour documentary on PBS. The series airs starting Thursday night on most PBS stations.
Apple TV+
Apple TV+ is a subscription video streaming service for $9.99 a month that includes high-quality original shows and movies including Best Picture winner “CODA,” popular sitcom “Ted Lasso,” and dramas like “The Morning Show” and “Severance.” Apple TV+ is also home to MLB baseball games on Friday nights and MLS Season Pass.
Bradley, Back to You
Apple TV+ brings back The Morning Show for a second season. In the season one finale, Alex (Jennifer Anniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) spoke out on-air against the misogyny and toxic work environment that had permeated the entire management structure at the UBA network. The last we saw, network boss Fred Micklen (Tom Irwin) frantically demanded that the show be yanked off the air in mid-stream. Now comes the fallout.
Eastwood’s Latest
Cry Macho premieres Friday in theaters and on HBO Max. The western, directed and produced by Clint Eastwood, is based on the 1975 Richard Nash novel of the same name. An ex-rodeo star agrees to help his former boss get his son out of Mexico. The son lives with his mom and has turned to a life of crime, participating in cockfights with a rooster — named Macho. Eastwood stars along with Dwight Yoakam.
Max

Thanks to the B/R Sports add-on, users can watch NBA, MLB, NHL, March Madness, and NASCAR events.
And the Emmy Goes To…
The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards airs Sunday night on CBS. The big surprise this year is simply the sheer number of streaming shows up for awards. As an example, the nominees for Outstanding Drama Series include 5 streaming shows (The Boys, Bridgerton, The Crown, The Handmaid's Tale, The Mandalorian), 2 cable shows (Lovecraft Country, Pose), and 1 broadcast series (This is Us).
