How to Watch MLB Opening Day Live Online

The MLB is the latest major sports league to return from the coronavirus-induced hiatus inflicted in March. The baseball league comes back for an abbreviated season, which will see only 60 games played starting today.

The season restarts with two great match-ups. First on deck are the New York Yankees, who take on defending champs, the Washington Nationals, at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the San Francisco Giants going against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 10 p.m. ET. Both games will air on ESPN.

On Saturday, you can catch three games on Fox starting with the Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers (1 p.m. ET), the San Francisco Giants vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers (4 p.m. ET) and then the New York Yankees vs. the Washington Nationals (7 p.m. ET).

With the coronavirus still at large, the MLB comes back with new stipulations in order. For one, each team is only “allowed to invite 60 players to big league camp, with only those players eligible to play during the season,” according to MLB.com, while active rosters will begin with 30 players and then come down to 28 players after two weeks and then 26 players after four weeks.

The season is expected to showcase mostly in-division match-ups as teams are forced to play those in their nearest geographical areas to keep travel at a minimum. Interleague matches are limited to just those in the opposite league’s division, meaning AL East teams will play NL East, AL Central will go against NL Central, while AL West teams go against NL West teams.
