How to Watch ‘Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween’ on Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, and Mobile

The combination of Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart together in one place may seem ludicrous. As it turns out, though, the man who made a career on pot and rap and the woman who made a career on pots and brownies are a great fit and surprisingly good friends. You’ll get to see that friendship work for yourself when the two of them show up in Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween. You can watch with a subscription to Peacock.

About ‘Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween’

The queen of baking and the king of getting baked get together to present a baking show, which makes a certain kind of sense. A one-hour baking competition, the show calls for competitors to bring out all their best Halloween-themed recipes in a bid to impress. Teams of three will be working to bake a complete “Halloween world” measuring 12 feet by 12 feet that people can actually walk through and sample.

What’s on tap in such a massive concept? Early reports suggest monsters made out of cake, terrifying trees coated in sugar, and even spiders made of chocolate. Chocolate gateau will be making an appearance, and based on the trailer, I’ve never seen so many cake pops involving eyeball motifs in one place. Well, at least not since last Halloween.

Snoop and Martha will be joined by Alvin Zhou, a content creator that runs his own YouTube channel and serves as senior producer with BuzzFeed’s Tasty. Given that BuzzFeed Studios had a hand in the show’s creation, it’s no surprise to see Zhou involved in the mix. This is also said to be the start of a greater partnership between Peacock and BuzzFeed, so it’s a safe bet we’ll see something at least passingly similar to this when Christmas rolls around. And possibly Thanksgiving, too; who knows?

It’s a safe bet, though, that this special will provide plenty of treats for its viewers. Getting the judging cast in costume—as well as what looks like a small-scale Halloween party going on in the midst of it—will also prove quite a trick. So for huge piles of tasty goodies and at least some fun besides, Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween should provide.

Steve Anderson got his start writing about direct to video movies almost 15 years ago. This was back in a time when video stores were a part of everyday life, as opposed to being roadside attractions like gator farms or the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota. With that writing on the wall in huge day-glo capital letters and probably moving neon, Steve migrated to streaming, which was clearly the future of home entertainment. Steve has been an enthusiastic proponent of the home theater for years, however, and seeing streaming's growth has proven gratifying as a way to fill the video store's shoes.
