Zac Efron is a long way from his “High School Musical” days. The actor has spent some time around the globe and is bringing his findings to Netflix. The former Disney star teamed up with the streaming giant for a new documentary called “Down to Earth With Zac Efron,” which chronicles his adventures re-connecting with mother nature. Efron teamed up with wellness expert Darin Olien for the docuseries, “which explores human connection and his time traveling the globe,” according to ET Online.
“I have always been in awe of the magic and mystery of Mother Nature. Exploring the unknown has always been a true passion in my life and now, more than ever, I realize how important it is to take care of our planet, our people and every living thing we share it with. Please be safe, be healthy and be kind to one another,” he wrote on Instagram.
The series follows Efron as he visits countries such as France, Puerto Rico, Iceland, London, Costa Rica, Lima, Sardinia and Iquitos to see different examples of healthy, sustainable ways to live.
It seems the actor has focused his efforts to the environment lately. Last November, Quibi announced “Killing Zac Efron,” a new adventure series starring and executive produced by Zac Efron. The series follows the star as he heads into the jungles of a remote island to carve his own name into expedition history. Efron falls off the grid for 21 days with nothing but basic gear, a guide partner and the will to survive.
