Netflix Rolls Out Feature Allowing Users to Remove Content From ‘Continue Watching’ Row

Netflix is once again striving to make the streaming experience more convenient for their users. According to The Verge, the streaming service has started to roll out a new “Remove From Row” feature, allowing users to delete unwanted content from the “Continue Watching” row.

As it stands, if you started watching a show or movie and stopped somewhere in the middle, that show/movie was added onto the “Continue Watching” row so you can come back to it later. However, if you decided you didn’t want to finish it at all, the service didn’t give you an option to remove the show from the list. Instead, it remained on the row and eventually got pushed to the back as you watched other programs. With the “Remove From Row” feature, you can now delete it from the listing altogether.

Netflix is also adding access to episodes, info and ratings directly into the menu when people tap on a title, making it a bit faster to get information, as opposed to having to go onto the movie or TV show’s individual landing page, The Verge reported.

The “Remove From Row” feature is currently only available on Android devices. The streamer plans to roll the feature out to iOS devices on June 29, according to The Verge.

Earlier this year, the service gave its users the option to turn autoplay off on trailers. Subscribers had long been frustrated by the fact that they couldn’t browse for content without a trailer popping up.

In order to turn autoplay off, users can simply go to the Netflix site, click the “Manage Profiles” button, choose the profile they’d like to update and then uncheck the option that says, “Autoplay previews while browsing on all devices.”
