At today’s announcement of Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, the company announced that 18 of the 21 Pixar films will be available on the service when it launches on November 12th for $6.99 a month. The remaining three — Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4, and CoCo will come to the service within the first year.
Pixar is also planning to release two exclusive series and an original movie on Disney+. Forky Asks a Question is a collection of shorts which helps answer life’s toughest questions like “what is cheese?”
Disney will also be releasing a TV series based on the Pixar film, Monsters, Inc. The series which will take place 6 months after the original film, will see Billy Crystal and John Goodman, return in their original roles of Mike and Sulley. Other characters from Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University like Yeti (John Ratzenberger), Celia Mae (Jennifer Tilly), Roze & Roz (Bob Peterson) are all expecting to return.
Pixar will also be making an original film called Lamp Life which follows Bo Peep from Toy Story 2. The movie will take place between Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 4, which sees her return to the theatrical films.
