“The Twilight Zone” is traveling into another dimension — season two — on CBS All Access.
All 10 episodes of the anthology series will be released today.
Jordan Peele (“Get Out,” Hunters”) serves as host. He and Simon Kinberg (“X-Men”) are also executive producers. The current incarnation of the beloved Rod Serling series continues its creator’s legacy of socially aware stories.
For example, in 1964, “The Twilight Zone” released an episode titled “I Am the Night. Color Me Black,” in which hate and racism created a dark cloud across the American South. The closing narration: “A sickness known as hate. Not a virus, not a microbe, not a germ — but a sickness nonetheless, highly contagious, deadly in its effects. Don’t look for it in the Twilight Zone — look for it in a mirror. Look for it before the light goes out altogether.”
The cast for season two of “The Twilight Zone” features Morena Baccarin, Kylie Bunbury, Ethan Embry, Sky Ferreira, Tavi Gevinson, Topher Grace, Tony Hale, Gillian Jacobs, David Krumholtz Chris Meloni, Gretchen Mol and Damon Wayans Jr., among others.
Season 1 of “The Twilight Zone,” in addition to the original series, which debuted in 1959, is available to stream on CBS All Access.
