Destination America, Science Channel, and MotorTrend Network Switch Tiers on PlayStation Vue Starting Today
Starting today, PlayStation Vue will see a few Discovery-owned channels switch tiers. As we reported in August, Destination America and Science Channel will move from their Access ($50) tier to their more expensive Elite ($65) and Ultra ($85) tiers. At the same time, MotorTrend Network will move from their Elite ($65) to their Access ($50) plan — meaning it will be available to all subscribers.
Before the change PlayStation Vue was the only service that carried Destination America and Science Channel on their base tier and MotorTrend Network on their premium tier. The new changes bring them more in-line with carriage across other services.
MotorTrend Network is available on the base plan of fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV. But, Destination America and Science is available as part of fubo’s Extra Add-on, Hulu’s Entertainment Add-on, and various Sling Extra packs. All three networks are available as part fo Philo’s single $20 plan.

Current customers will have to upgrade their plans to keep Destination America and Science, as well as any DVR content already recorded.
