fuboTV to Drop WarnerMedia-owned Networks Like TNT, TBS, CNN, & Cartoon Network

At 12:01am on July 1st, fuboTV is about to lose WarnerMedia-owned networks including Boomerang, Cartoon Network, CNN, HLN, TBS, TNT, and truTV. The news comes just a week after reaching a deal with Disney to bring channels like ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, FX, and National Geographic to the service.

fuboTV originally added the channels in August 2018.

In a statement to The Streamable, a fuboTV spokesperson said:

“In order to continue to provide the most value to our customers at a reasonable price point, we will not be renewing our contract with WarnerMedia when it expires tonight. Despite these changes, and with the upcoming launch of ESPN and Walt Disney Television, fuboTV’s sports-focused cable TV replacement will offer a market best 43 of the top 50 Nielsen-ranked sports, news and entertainment channels in our base package, and over 50,000 live sporting events on our platform every year.“

With the loss of WarnerMedia-owned channels, along with Philo, they are now the only major Live TV Streaming Service without carriage of the channels. YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, and their own AT&T TV NOW each carry the channels.

WarnerMedia has confirmed the news to Deadline saying: “We are disappointed that our deal with fuboTV is not being renewed, as we have been working with them and we’re open to a potential renewal.”

Earlier this year, fuboTV dropped Sinclair-owned Fox Sports RSNs, which haven't returned to the service. At the same time they also dropped Disney-owned FX and Nat Geo, which are coming back as part of the new Disney deal.

In addition to Disney-owned networks, fuboTV recently added NHL Network and announced the addition of MLB Network to the service.
