NBC Sports Announces ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ Will Stream Exclusively on Peacock Beginning Oct. 5
Peacock continues to solidify their fall line-up. The streaming service, along with NBC Sports, announced today that they will become the exclusive streaming home of “The Rich Eisen Show” beginning Oct. 5. Hosted by Rich Eisen himself, the eponymous show will return to NBCSN on Aug. 17. It’ll maintain its classic format, with all three hours of the show airing live on NBCSN from noon to 3 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
“My entire career I have taken pride in being at the forefront of new ventures, from the NFL Network to my own show,” Rich Eisen said. “Now streaming on Peacock, I am proud to be hosting and producing the next chapter of sports talk.”
The four-time Sports Emmy nominated show is a synergy between sports, humor and pop culture. It’s featured notable names in sports and entertainment, including Tom Brady, Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Matthew McConaughey, Regina King, Aaron Rodgers, Larry David, Morgan Freeman and more.
The news comes a day after Peacock announced they will treat subscribers to all eight Harry Potter movies beginning in October. The movies will begin rolling out on the platform in windows and will continue to drop over the following six months, going into 2021.
During their Q2 2020 earnings call last week, parent company Comcast revealed the new streaming service had already garnered 10 million sign-ups. The service first launched on April 15 for the company’s Xfinity X1 and Flex customers then went national on July 15.
