Peacock App Not Showing Up on Android? This Is How to Download It

Stephanie Sengwe

It wouldn’t be a big launch without some technical difficulties and unfortunately, Peacock is no exception. The Peacock app for Android suffered some delays this morning as it was not available on Google Play.

This seems to be an issue with Google Play search results, rather than Peacock itself. You can still download the app if you go to the download link directly.

How to Download & Sign-Up for Peacock on Android

  1. Click here to sign-up for Peacock
  2. Once you’re signed up, Click Here to Install the App on Android or Android TV
  3. Once installed, log-in using your Peacock credentials and stream your favorite Peacock shows, movies, and live sports

On the other hand, the Peacock app launched earlier than expected for Apple’s iOS. The app was made available on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV last night.

Peacock launched with three tiers — a free tier featuring more than 13,000 hours of movies and shows. The service also offers Peacock Premium, which includes 20,000 hours of movies and shows, for $4.99 per month, as well as an ad-free tier for $9.99.

Parent company NBCUniversal has struck deals to bring the service to Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Xbox, VIZIO SmartCast TVs, LG Smart TVs, iOS, and Android. Starting the week of July 20, it will become available on PS4.

Notably missing from the list are Roku and Amazon Fire TV. Just last week, CNBC reported the streamer was no closer to getting on the two platforms as negotiations are still underway. In fact, CNBC’s sources said the possibility of inking any deals with either platform are “less than 10 percent.” We have learned that apps have already been completed for both platforms, so a deal just needs to get struck for them to appear.
